I completely agree with you sis...Asalaamu aleikum-

I completely agree with you sister! That's one of the reasons I have left off following alot of the "hijab fashion" blogs that encourage muslimas to follow their nafs rather than their Lord. And it's no use leaving comments as reminders of our duty to follow the Islamic dress code and have proper adhab- they just brush it off and carry on. May Allah SWT guide them- and all of us- HalimaHalimahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15548934024115676017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5962072822678963823.post-69143410955960062011-02-06T14:36:09.347+08:002011-02-06T14:36:09.347+08:00salam..

But it is so very confusing(as hannah mentioned above) when born Muslims advertise these outfits as "hijabi fashion", "hijabi fashionista", "modern hijabi", etc. And there are so many of these blogs, complete with tutorials and such. As I mentioned before they can post as they like but it would be better if they referred to it as personal style and not HIJAB. I think with all the blogs...Salam alaikum sister,

I think with all the blogs out there discussing "hijab fashion", it is very difficult for new hijab-wearers to understand what is and what isn't okay to wear in front of non-mahrams. Many of the blogs show outfits (such as the ones you point out in this post) which really *don't* meet the conditions of hijab!

When I first started wearing hijab, I didn't understand what I could wear, and now when I look back at what I *did* wear, I am so ashamed!! :p Alhamdulillah I have improved my hijab a lot since then, and I am still trying to improve it even more.hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17757166508805438747noreply@blogger.com
