Assalamualaikum wr wbt everyone.
May the blessings of Allah be upon us all.
Today is The Niqab Day to show our solidarity for all the sisters every where in this world who wear niqabs either they are free to wear it or they are prohibited to do so. As a niqabi myself, I pray that Muslim sisters would support this special campaign as part of our personal contribution to the sunnah.
If you can do it, please wear a niqab for today. My post is a bit late to be published as half of the day is already gone but I hope I can gain some interest and support.
Here's the content of the campaign which I copy and paste from the Mind of a Muslimah's blog.

On monday 8th March inshaAllah, We will make it known the choices of muslim women's. We have rights! And it's Our right to cover as it's your's on monday 8th March.
Description:
Violence against women is happening in the world. This violence is not just physical but also verbal. Goverment who we have elected are ones who now are holding our sister against their will, they are the ones telling us how a woman should look or behave. Moreover, the government ignores woman needs—and denies their very existence and prevent human rights.
Womens are the ones who had to fight to have basic rights, throughout the history, the question is why is this happening now?
Sisters and brothers, we need to show the world that We muslims are as equal as others and We have right as they.
Join to take part of Niqab Day, to show our support to our sisters on 8th March 2010 on the Women’s day - it’s a day when the world celebrate. Let’s celebrate the choices of women's.
Oh, do you by any chance celebrate the International Women's Day?
