I want to stock up some Malaysian maps

Just now, a European couple from Renaissance Hotel came looking for a Malaysian map. Oh, I feel so disappointed because we don't have them. I don't even think of selling maps before because previously my bookshop was located a bit far from tourist center. I should have think about this earlier. Right now, we are very near to the hotel and I forgot about MAPS!

Allah has really helps me in getting better in this business and He is showing me more ways of making this works. Alhamdulillah. We are going to stock up some maps ASAP. I've seen a few tourist visiting a few shops in this mall. Hopefully they'll visit MariBaca, at least to rent a novel or two. I really want to make some new friends. I WANT TO PRACTICE MY ENGLISH.

Ahhh... it makes me feel so happy just by talking in English with them. My tongue does not twisted when I vocalized the words and I did not falter at all. Alhamdulillah... hehe. I'm so happy. Don't blame me. I just do not want my fluency in this second language decrease.

So... now I have to look for a map supplier. Hopefully I can find one who can supply me maps at a cheap price. Well, at least reasonable and of good quality.

O Allah!
Please show me the right way.
Please assist me in doing my business.
I want to be like Saiyyidatina Khadijah a.s.
Amiin.

Asalaamu Alaikum

Good idea and another thing I wanted and couldn't find when I was in Kelantan was a Malaysian flag. In Canada you can find them for souvieniers all over the place and I couldn't figure out why there were none available there. You could also sell malaysian hats as souvieniers too and sunglasses would be a great idea.

Wa'alaikummussalam C.

Thank you C for the brilliant suggestions. I'm sure gonna stock up them.

Any more good ideas, please suggest them to me.

BTW, is C = Aisyah?

Assalamualaikum Kak Chik,

I second C's suggestion on the flags. Believe it or not, while I was in China there were shops selling Malaysia's flags!!!

As for souvenirs, you can source for little things that represents Malaysia i.e. key-rings / batik bookmarks. I notice foreigners in KL love to buy items from Arch. http://www.archcollection.com/ Maybe you can contact them and work out a deal. I have to admit that I'm guilty in purchasing their items too for my foreign friends ... :)

Wa'alaikummussalam Hajar.
Thanks for supporting C's suggestion. You make me confirm my plan to stock them up.
I've noted all the suggestions and will look into them properly.
Good example should be copied, isn't it?
InsyaAllah I will try contacting that co and who knows, something good will come out of it.
Thanks Hajar. Hugs.

Assalamualaikum kakchik,
What about 'How-To..?" eg postcard/notebook sized cards with a colourful picture and steps about How to cook a traditional Kelantan recipe, How to make a simple Kelantan batik design, How to wear a sarong [hehehe], How to weave a ketupat casing.
Printed and laminated nicely, insyaAllah they will attract tourists' attention. I haven't seen them sold in any shops :)
