Would you wear this?

Pretty shocking pink modern jilbab.

Would you wear this?.

Dress is from Najjah.com (actually I googled it and found it at another blog).

Salaam,

No, I wouldn't wear it. Too bright. I would feel like I was wearing a giant neon sign with a big arrow pointing at me, lol.

Asalaamu Alaikum

Seems more like a dress than a jilbab with the waist cinched in so tight.

Its not a bad looking dress, just not my taste and style. So i would say no. But im sure there are plenty of sisters out there that could pull it off.

No, I do not like tight long sleeves, nor plunging necklines, and fitted empire waists. I would not wear it in it a car. I would not wear it as a star. I would not wear on a dare. I would not wear it anywhere. I would not call attention to myself in shocking pink unless a bow upon my head to fasten in my hair.

Wa'alaikummussalam M.
I have the same opinion with you but others wouldn't think so. Anyway in Malaysia, women wearing bright colors are common, maybe most of us here wouldn't agree with you and me.

Wa'alaikummussalam C. Agree. This days people like to introduce new lines of clothing and call them Islamic and Muslimah attires. I like this dress but it's no jilbab for me. More suitable for lady's only function.

mJ, you are one brave woman to wear this bright pink dress in public hehe. and yes, you need another layer under it, be it pants, jeans, skirts or tights. personally tights wouldn't be in my preference.

Nurul is another bold lady! But I've never seen you wearing a bright dress before my dear. I mean in your blog and FB.

Same goes with me Nawal.

Dear Cinnamon, front my point of view, the sleeves are not tight at all and the neckline is not plunging, it's moderate and will be covered by a hijab. But the rest of your opinion is on par with mine. However, I think this dress would be suitable for close door activities just for ladies.

Agustina, what colour would you prefer?

Wa'alaikummussalam gurl. I think if you like it, it is ok to buy and wear it for your own satisfaction and of course to make you look beautiful for your husband.

Yes. Only if it's layered with a basic cardigan and a decent shawl. So it's gonna look like I'm wearing a hot pink skirt. :)

That would look good I think Hajar. And 2 weeks ago I met a lady wearing almost the same design of dress in shocking pink. But she just look radiant in it. Nice.
