Nice Muslimah Attires

Assalamualaikum.

Source: Muslimah Attire

This dress look very much like a jilbab or a shoulder abaya. I think it can be worn to work and also to any other places or events. The material used to make this dress is Korean crepe which is quite cool to the touch, smooth and silky. If you do not like wearing a full abaya like me, I'll recommend this type of dress. It is modest, elegant and stylish. Just my two cents.

Source: Muslimah Attire

MashaAllah! What a cool jacket-dress. I love it. However, if I'm wearing this jacket-dress I'll be pairing it with a bigger and longer hijab which will definitely covers the collar part. Be careful not to let people see the silhouette of your precious body part. Wear it right, remember?

And another cool dress,

I don't have any words to say about this dress, just plain like it. what do you think?

Hoot... hoot... this one is also very nice. I wish they sew flower deco near the hemline too because when I put on my hijab, all those pretty flowers would be covered. Anyway, it's still okay because the dress itself makes me feel good so it does not have to be look at by others right.

If you like to buy the dresses above, it would be nice for you to visit Muslimah Attire facebook because they have more choices and I just choose the one that I like from their albums. Oh, I don't sell clothes in this blog. This is only my blog about fashion and whatever else I find relevant.

p/s: Tomorrow's is the Maulidur Rasul and also our 9th. wedding anniversary. We celebrate anniversary on every 12 Rabiulawwal every year.

Shawl from lycra

Assalamualaikum and peace everyone.

Alhamdulillah... it's another beautiful day here in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia. How's everyone today? Hopefully all of you are in good health and strong eeman to survive this day.

Shawl or known as 'selendang' in Malay is currently a huge trend among Muslimah in Malaysia. Here and there Muslim women can be seen wearing this type of hijab to cover their upper body.

The shape of the shawl is usually rectangle, comes in different sizes, prints, materials and of courses prices. Most common shawls that are sold in the market either online or not are very sheer but still there are certain shawl makers have taken a good innovative move by producing shawls from more opaque materials such as lycra.

Actually I'm not very fond of lycra. Ever since the instant hijab became the national hijab trend, everywhere in Malaysia you can see women wearing them. They are so easy, like al-amira hijab.

Anyway, back to the lycra shawls, just now I saw many samples of the shawls inside a friend's facebook album. They were produced and marketed by Syazara Eneterprise. Let's have a look at some of their lycra shawls.

You can find more selections at Syazara Enterprise's website at this URL: http://www.mymesra2u.com

A little specification on the shawls:
  • measurements: 64 inches long and 16 inches wide
  • material: high quality 5 star lycra ( I don't know about the quality because I've never wear one)
  • decorated with small swarovski stones randomly on the hijab
  • price at RM40 a piece or USD13
I think this shawls are only available online because I've never seen them around town. So... would anyone be interested?

Butterfly Abaya + Niqab + Me: Review for Saharayusuf

Assalamualaikum dear friends, visitors, blogwalkers and readers.

As I've promised before that I'm sharing a photo of me wearing my new butterfly abaya which was bought from Saharayusuf's blogshop (find the link under ABAYA). Here I am! This picture was taken tonight before I went to my bookshop. Last week, I already worn this beautiful abaya also to go to my bookshop and someone followed me to ask where I buy it.

Sahara, you better get ready for more orders for this abaya. I am already thinking of helping you promoting it. I love the material. Really. It's a bit heavy especially when the cutting is like that but I feels good wearing it. It looks like a caftan too only that it's much bigger. And who says petite person like me can't wear a butterfly abaya?

Readers, do you think I look odd? Husband said, I look ok. My hectic mind is working, ticking. I might be emailing Sahara again soon. Ohhh... I like this abaya. But ONE THING you need to remember, this abaya is not very practical for office job or if you want to go 'kenduri-kendara' (attending wedding feast).

Another thing that I want to mention is the single layer niqab that I'm wearing. Also bought from Saharayusuf's blogshop. I've bought 2 pieces and Sahara, I tell you what, you really are good sis! Your skills in sewing the niqab is very neat, the material is soft, very breathable, very comfortable and I have been wearing it since the second day they arrived.

Do you think we can deal a business for both items? And... sorry, I have to alter a little bit of the lowest end for both sides of the abaya to make it easier for me to walk. One SUGGESTION, please change the button at the neckline because it's a bit difficult to attach or reattach especially when I'm in a hurry. Maybe you can use a plastic/metal buttons. I think it'd be more sturdy.

Apart from that, Alhamdulillah I like your workmanship. Very neat and the cutting is good. Satisfied. Thank you.

Be proud of who you are and what you do.

Alhamdulillah I'm proud to be a Muslim and I bow down to Allah the Only One God. I love this faith to death and I always pray that Allah will bless me as His humble servant and religious follower of the Prophet Muhammad, Rasulullah sallahu'alaihi wassalam. (saw).

And I'm proud to be a Muslim woman who is free to do what I like in order to help this Deen and of course with the consent to go out from my beloved and understanding husband. And this is what I love to do:

1. Doing book business and
2. Promoting and selling abayat.

Friends, here I am in front of my new bookshop. You will always be welcome there, insyaAllah. Please support me spiritually because I can maintain almost everything physically when my emotional well being is excellent.

Welcome to MariBaca Bookstore!

Love from KakChik.

Beautiful and Elegant Abayat

Pic above is from this blog.

All these pictures were snapped from our local muslimah's magazine, ANIS of the current issue. Inside this month issue, it features abayat from our Malaysian abaya supplier known as Jalinan Timur Enterprise located in Gombak, Selangor.

I've search for their blogsite and found that they have quite some interesting abayat, mostly imported from the Gulf countries such as Jordan, Syria, KSA and also UAE.

And they are looking for resellers. I might contact them for more info. This is interesting.

Highlight 5: Abaya Couture

Assalamualaikum and welcome to the World of Beautiful Abayas.

My iman is once again being tested and my nafs need more coaxing to make me feel relax and can browse through all the choices, calmly. Yep, it's the seduction of gorgeous abayas.

A friend who's currently based in UK has open up an online Abaya shop named ABAYA COUTURE. Nice name for a shop selling abaya.

Below are some of the abayas that she sells. Please take a look and decide for yourself. You can simply click on the blogshop's name that I have highlighted above to visit her shop.

*Click on the pic for a bigger view.

Gorgeous! Flower details on the shayla and also at the end of the sleeves.

All abayas are from Qatar. The second one from right is what I want.

I like simple design like the second and third abaya.

Beautiful.... (both model & abaya, hehe)

Although she quotes her prices in GBP, I think it would be more than MYR100 and my limit is only MYR200 for an abaya. But I just love all of them... maybe I'm greedy, astaghfirullah... Insya-Allah I'll control my nafs and start saving more money so that I can indulge in collecting more abaya. For now, I already have enough.

I believe, sisters who live in UK would be happy to get the abayas from her. Give her a visit and I hope you will find one for you.

p/s: Thanks Fa for giving me this opportunity to feature your blogshop.

Highlight 4: Butik Sunlay

Assalamualaikum and a very good day to everyone.

Most of you must be having a promising weekend with your families. A friend and her family are on their way to Cameron Highland (oh, I wish I could go too) and another friend is here in Kota Bharu for a convention but will spare some time to meet me tomorrow. And I know there are lots of things that you wish to do this weekend. And one of our weekly itineraries would be SHOPPING. Ok, ok.... I know... I've been writing a lot about shopping, well you know... fashion is always related to shopping. Isn't it?

If you still remember I used to make special post or highlight of certain online blogshop. However, due to so many interesting things that have happened in my life so far, I tend to forget about that task. Maybe I've promised to do this highlight monthly, so please forgive me for forgetting.

As I browse through some of the blogshops that I list down in KakChik's Wardrobe, I was intimidated to make a review of BUTIK SUNLAY's blogshop. Part of the reasons are frequents inquiries from friends about undercaps and shawls. I think this online boutique has what they are looking for. Let's see what this boutique has in its store.

Powered by BannerFans.com
Click on the image to visit the shop.

1. They have a selection of PASHMINA. Anyone interested in wearing pashmina as hijab, can simply order them from Butik Sunlay. I've 'print screen'ed this picture from the blogshop.

2. UNDERCAPS - turkish, syirian, wardina's style and lace. (more details in their blogshop).

Above and below pics are turkish undercaps. Sample above shows how to wear it under your shawls/hijab.

Above pic - LACE undercaps (2 pics above credit to Butik Sunlay.)

3. HIJAB PIN - IMHO very simple yet elegant.

4. SHAWLS - they have so many choices, beautiful designs, patterns and colours. Below are a few samples.

I just love the 2-tone colour of the shawl above. If they have a bigger one, I think I would be interested to buy but most are rather short in width for me.

Aren't they looks pretty?

5. CLOTHS for making a dress - batik, chiffon, jacquard, satin etc. Just have a look in their shop. The prices seems reasonable and

FYI, I've never order anything yet from this blogshop but I sincerely think they are doing an honest business. This is what they got to say about their business:
This website is initiated to cater for MUSLIM WOMEN'S interest & enthusiasm on products offered by SunLay Boutique (since 9th Dec 2008).

Feel free to drop me a line or ring me, details as below :
SMS : 013-4887389 (Fara a.k.a Che'Ah)
Email : fara171@gmail.com
That's it then. My first blogshop review for this year. I WILL ONLY REVIEW blogshops that sells things that I'm interested in and of course suitable to add as our Islamic attire. Don't forget whatever you put on your body, it must be suitable with this : AURAH COMPLIANCE.

Wassalam.
