Niqabi with a hat.

I was looking for niqabis pictures and found this beautiful picture of a sister. From her blog, I think she's Canadian or Pakistani. What I want to really say is that, I really like her pic.

I don't think she's still active in blogging because her last entry was in July 2007.
If you wish to visit her blog, this is the address.

p/s: Sister Mahwash, I'm sorry. InsyaAllah the pic is already removed.

Nothing Much

Assalamualaikum everyone. I'm really sorry for not being here and lack of updates. I've been busy with my main blog, KeluargakuSayang and also tending my shop and the Library. It's a bit hectic with so many chores and works at both premises. And also, the lack of ideas.

Anyway, this time I'm going to share a few pics of my friend who has an Islamic Clothing boutique in Kota Bharu. I called her Kak Mah or Sister Mah. That's her in the pictures tending to her stall during a Jumaat lecture in the town center, Kota Bharu. She's a niqabi too.

Her shop sells Muslimah clothing and you can see from the pics some of the items that she sells. I've bought a few hijabs and jilbabs from her. Maybe I'll share a pic or two of the jilbabs later.

That's all for tonight and I've been tag again by Hajar.
Hajar, insya-Allah I'll try doing that tag as soon as I can.
Bye now. Sweet dream everyone. It's almost 10.40 pm.

No One Like These Sets

Assalamualaikum everyone.

A few days ago I was playing with my ideas at Polyvore and took some time to review all my sets. You know what? I found that some of my sets are really dull and I was thinking that I'm really an amateur. Of course, it's the truth that I have to admit.

Fashion is too subjective but as a Muslimah I would like to create or assemble the clothes to be in line with the Islamic teaching. And my ideas have helped me created all those sets. Some, I think beautiful and wearable but some are quite unattractive. I didn't mean that dressing like that to attract people's attention but, I like beautiful things and Allah is Jamilun.

Well, it's a bit frustrating when you see that you yourself are not satisfied with what you've created. Anyway, after 2 months of subscribing and creating more than 80 sets, I can see that some of my creations couldn't attract anyone's attention. Hmm...

I have 12 sets here, anyone would like to give some comments?

Niqab Styles from YouTube

I was still trying to figure out how am I going to demonstrate my niqab style to an acquaintance, Maryam Azizuddin. Actually I can ask my husband to hold the video/camera for me and I can easily demonstrate but then I will have to edit the video/pictures so that my face wouldn't be seen. Well, what's the point of wearing niqab when your face can be seen online right.

Thinking of that, I just browse around youtube and came across some videos about different niqab styles. Maybe some of you have already seen them but never mind, I guess some are still don't. So, I will just embed them here for everyone to view and hopefully my friend, Maryam would find some ideas before I manage to show my style. Sorry my dear, you have to wait a bit longer.

Let's see one of the videos shall we?

Credit for this video should go to thevintagegoth. I think she's a new revert and she looks beautiful to me.

How was it?

Do you like it?

I'm going to try it at home this evening. I have a shayla but never wear it, maybe I can figure out how to do it like her with less pins.
