In this peaceful surrounding inside the Library, I get a chance to browse through the online newspapers and came upon this article.
In all the studies that the writer has been quoting, he does not even tell us the exact source of them. Would you agree and accept all the things that he has been saying about 'making love'? Let's see what Muslim scholar has to say about 'making love'.Make love to stay healthy
People who have frequent sex are generally healthier.
Researchers have long known that not only is sex fun (when done with the right person, of course HALAL partners for Muslims), but that people who have frequent sex tend to live longer and have healthier hearts and lower rates of certain cancers.
These studies also show that men with an active sex life have healthier sperm, and sexually active women have fewer menopause symptoms.
In a British study, people who had intercourse twice a week or more were less likely to have heart attacks and other fatal coronary events.
Those who had sex less than once a month had twice the rates of fatal coronary events, compared with those with the highest frequency of intercourse.
In a study published in the journal Biological Psychology, people who had sex more often tended to have lower diastolic blood pressure, or the bottom number in a blood pressure reading.
A French study found that women who have intercourse not at all or infrequently had three times the risk of breast cancer, compared with women who had intercourse more often.
A Minnesota study found that men who’d had intercourse more than 3,000 times in their lives had half the prostate cancer risk of those who had not.
While it’s not clear why this would be true, studies have found that men who had more intercourse tended to have better prostate function and eliminated more waste products in their semen.
A study of healthy German adults revealed that men and women who had sex more frequently tended to be slimmer than folks who didn’t have as much sex.
Sex burns 50 to 60 calories per encounter, so sex three times a week for a month would burn about 700 calories or the equivalent of jogging about seven miles.
A group of men being treated for erectile problems saw greater increases in testosterone when, along with the treatments, they had frequent sex.
Specifically, men who had sex at least eight times per month had greater increases than those who had sex less than eight times per month.
In three studies, men who had frequent intercourse had a higher volume of semen, a higher sperm count and a higher percentage of healthier sperm, compared with men who tended to participate in other sexual activities.

Eminent Muslim scholar Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi:I'm just sharing this here because a few days ago I've been hearing a lot about the misunderstood physical relationship between a husband and his wife although they've been married for many years already.
"The Qur'an emphasizes the spiritual objectives of marriage, making them the foundations of marital life. These objectives are realized in the peace of mind which comes through wholesome sexual experience with the spouse whom one loves, in the enlargement of the circle of love and affection between the two families united through marriage, and in the nurturing of affection and tenderness among the children under the loving care of their parents. These are the objectives mentioned by Allah in the verse that reads: "And among His signs is that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell with them in tranquility, and He has put love and mercy between you. Indeed, in this are signs for those who reflect." (Ar-Rum: 21)
It is permissible for the husband and wife to enjoy having sexual intercourse in the way they like as long as they avoid that which is unlawful. The husband and wife are absolutely permitted to be fully naked in each others presence and there is nothing wrong in looking at each others private parts and sleeping nude with each other.
{And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts). Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame}, [Soorah al-Mu.minoon, Aayaat 5-6]
Allah Almighty says in Holy Quran chapter number 2 Al-Baqarah, verse number 222 and 223:
"They ask thee concerning women's courses. Say: They are a hurt and a pollution: So keep away from women in their courses, and do not approach them until they are clean. But when they have purified themselves, ye may approach them as ordained for you by Allah. For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly; and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.
Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will; but do some good act for your souls beforehand; and fear God. And know that ye are to meet Him (in the Hereafter), and give (these) good tidings to those who believe.".(Holy Quran 2:222 and 223)
Based on this, all acts that aim at satisfying and pleasing the spouses are allowable so long as two things are avoided, that is anal sex and having sex with a wife while she is still in her menstruation or post partum bleeding. Hence oral sex is also permissible.
A husband/wife can satisfy her wife/husband through other avenues. A wife can masturbate her husband; similarly a husband is perfectly justified in satisfying his wife through other avenues; he could very well masturbate her; if he were to do this, he is working within the perfect limits of Islam.
A person masturbating on himself/herself is not allowed in Islam except in dire necessity where one fears falling into adultery; marriage is intended in Islam to be a shield against that. So being married, you should never be forced into this option.
In the light of this, scholars maintain that the husband is allowed to enjoy his wife through any means of enjoyment except anal sex, for that is forbidden. It is permissible for a woman to look at the entire body of her husband, and it is permissible for the husband to look at the entire body of his wife and seek pleasure.
The basic ruling regarding the wife seeking pleasure of her husband’s penis is that of permissibility, however, that which is feared is that this act may lead to possible oral intake of sperm or prostatic fluids. The Hanaabilah have indicated the permissibility of a wife kissing her husband’s penis, as is mentioned in ((al-Insaaf)) of al-Maardeenee [Volume 8, Page 33], and this is the opinion of Ibn ‘Aqeel and other than him. Also, Asbagh from the Maalikiyyah has indicated the permissibility of a man kissing his wife’s vagina as is mentioned in ((Tafseer al-Qurtubee)) [Volume 12, Page 231].
May Allah guide us all to the straight path!
Wassalam and Allah Almighty knows best.

Assalamualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu dearest Kak Chik,
I had to abstain myself from reading the rest of your article [stopping at "Make love to stay healthy"] since you highlighted the "married ones ONLY". The title sort of gave me an indication of what your article is all about. :)
Also, I can't help but think kenwooi went to the same college as me. :D
