Anyone interested? EDITTED

Assalamualaikum...

This going to be short and straight to the point. Besides lidey and miz asking about this shoe, I have a few others emailing me about it too.

Well, as now I am a member of Rorine, I can definitely and happily help you get this shoe. I think there are more than 10 different designs for this type of shoe. I was planning to shoot some pics and promote them here.

Anyway, I managed to copy this catalog pic from Rorine so you can have more choice. Please click on the pic to have a bigger view.

If anyone interested, please email me your details such as:

SIZE, NAME, FULL ADDRESS and CONTACT NO.

I will only send to those in Malaysia because of the difficulty in the payment process and method. So... would anyone be interested? Email me and then I'll inform you how to pay, etc.

Thank you.

p/s: I think I would be doing some business here too...

Shopping for Cloths at Kelantan Silk Store

This is what you can see inside any cloth shops in Kota Bharu. This one is inside Kelantan Silk Store. Soooooo colourful.

They like to hang matching cloths above while the uncut ones are arranged in rows upon rows on the floor. One can surely get confuse in choosing the best cloth.

I'm definitely confused myself because there are so many beautiful cloths that caught my eyes.

Anyone interested? Hehe.

WOW! Gorgeous print that looks like a peacock.

I bought 4m of this new arrival. It was really beautiful except that on camera it's not photogenic at all. The material is very soft and cool to the touch. Bought it at RM64 for 4m.

This one also came home with me. Just RM56 for 4m.

Shopping for Eid.

Highlight 5: Abaya Couture

Assalamualaikum and welcome to the World of Beautiful Abayas.

My iman is once again being tested and my nafs need more coaxing to make me feel relax and can browse through all the choices, calmly. Yep, it's the seduction of gorgeous abayas.

A friend who's currently based in UK has open up an online Abaya shop named ABAYA COUTURE. Nice name for a shop selling abaya.

Below are some of the abayas that she sells. Please take a look and decide for yourself. You can simply click on the blogshop's name that I have highlighted above to visit her shop.

*Click on the pic for a bigger view.

Gorgeous! Flower details on the shayla and also at the end of the sleeves.

All abayas are from Qatar. The second one from right is what I want.

I like simple design like the second and third abaya.

Beautiful.... (both model & abaya, hehe)

Although she quotes her prices in GBP, I think it would be more than MYR100 and my limit is only MYR200 for an abaya. But I just love all of them... maybe I'm greedy, astaghfirullah... Insya-Allah I'll control my nafs and start saving more money so that I can indulge in collecting more abaya. For now, I already have enough.

I believe, sisters who live in UK would be happy to get the abayas from her. Give her a visit and I hope you will find one for you.

p/s: Thanks Fa for giving me this opportunity to feature your blogshop.

I like her abaya

Pic was taken during my visit to the bank this morning.
The girl was with her friends registering for opening an account.
And my eyes only caught her dress, a beautiful black abaya with niecely flower details.
I wished that she turns to me but since there was so many people, my view was blocked and I managed to snap only this side view pic.
Nice... abaya.

How to Wear a Shawl in 5 min?

shawladdict is an online shop selling mostly shawls. I like their shawls although I do not wear them. Well... I do have 4 shawls, 2 blacks and the other 2 are dark red and dark green - wore them a few times only. It's just that I need a bigger size shawls compared to most shawls that can be found either online or not. But today, I'm not talking about where to buy the shawl but how to style it as your hijab.

FYI, all pictures are curtsy of shawladdict so please give them a visit for more interesting info. Let's take a look at how to wear the shawl.

FIRST STEP: Put the shawl on your head and make sure that one side is longer than the other and pin it under your chin. Pull tightly both sides to the opposite sides.

SECOND STEP: Wrap the longer side above your head.

THIRD STEP: Insert the hijab pin on the short end to secure it.

FOURTH STEP: You can insert the end of the shawl under your chin.

FIFTH STEP: Use a brooch to pin the end of the shorter side on your shoulder.

SIXTH STEP: Walla! It's finish and looks stylish. Isn't it?

I would like to thank shawladdict for this simple and interesting hijab style. Hopefully this style will benefit many sisters who like wearing shawls. DON'T FORGET, if you could have a bigger chest coverage is better.

Dress for a Prom

A new friend needs my help to accessorize her prom dress. She specifically wrote that the accessories should be affordable so I create the set above by using simple but beautiful items. I just looked for them in charlotterusse.com or forever21.com stores because both stores have a lot of affordable items - clothing, shoes, bags and accessories.

I hope she will be happy to try this out for her prom and I hope it is only for girls.

Highlight 4: Butik Sunlay

Assalamualaikum and a very good day to everyone.

Most of you must be having a promising weekend with your families. A friend and her family are on their way to Cameron Highland (oh, I wish I could go too) and another friend is here in Kota Bharu for a convention but will spare some time to meet me tomorrow. And I know there are lots of things that you wish to do this weekend. And one of our weekly itineraries would be SHOPPING. Ok, ok.... I know... I've been writing a lot about shopping, well you know... fashion is always related to shopping. Isn't it?

If you still remember I used to make special post or highlight of certain online blogshop. However, due to so many interesting things that have happened in my life so far, I tend to forget about that task. Maybe I've promised to do this highlight monthly, so please forgive me for forgetting.

As I browse through some of the blogshops that I list down in KakChik's Wardrobe, I was intimidated to make a review of BUTIK SUNLAY's blogshop. Part of the reasons are frequents inquiries from friends about undercaps and shawls. I think this online boutique has what they are looking for. Let's see what this boutique has in its store.

Powered by BannerFans.com
Click on the image to visit the shop.

1. They have a selection of PASHMINA. Anyone interested in wearing pashmina as hijab, can simply order them from Butik Sunlay. I've 'print screen'ed this picture from the blogshop.

2. UNDERCAPS - turkish, syirian, wardina's style and lace. (more details in their blogshop).

Above and below pics are turkish undercaps. Sample above shows how to wear it under your shawls/hijab.

Above pic - LACE undercaps (2 pics above credit to Butik Sunlay.)

3. HIJAB PIN - IMHO very simple yet elegant.

4. SHAWLS - they have so many choices, beautiful designs, patterns and colours. Below are a few samples.

I just love the 2-tone colour of the shawl above. If they have a bigger one, I think I would be interested to buy but most are rather short in width for me.

Aren't they looks pretty?

5. CLOTHS for making a dress - batik, chiffon, jacquard, satin etc. Just have a look in their shop. The prices seems reasonable and

FYI, I've never order anything yet from this blogshop but I sincerely think they are doing an honest business. This is what they got to say about their business:
This website is initiated to cater for MUSLIM WOMEN'S interest & enthusiasm on products offered by SunLay Boutique (since 9th Dec 2008).

Feel free to drop me a line or ring me, details as below :
SMS : 013-4887389 (Fara a.k.a Che'Ah)
Email : fara171@gmail.com
That's it then. My first blogshop review for this year. I WILL ONLY REVIEW blogshops that sells things that I'm interested in and of course suitable to add as our Islamic attire. Don't forget whatever you put on your body, it must be suitable with this : AURAH COMPLIANCE.

Wassalam.

Modest Clothing & Colourful Abayas

If you are looking for a modest clothing heaven, this is the right place.

They stocked so many nice, colourful, modest clothing from blouses, tunics, baju kurungs, tudungs/hijabs and all kind of abayas. Although I seldom buy my clothes here but I'm sure most Muslim women would be attracted to get inside the shop. This shop is located on the 3rd floor in KB Mall.

Just look at their window display... the newest fashion of modern baju kurung. Both are made from sheer material but layered under them with satin. I like both of them but luckily there's not any size for me.

Oh, I really wish they have size S for this abaya. Simple with a beautiful details made from satin ribbons. This is the LAST ONE and it's size M, length is 55".

Huhu, I need to try this new 2-layers abaya. They have size 38, the smallest size for that design but it's still quite long for me and since the abaya's cutting is rather following the body shape, I'm glad I won't be spending money. If I'm taller, maybe this abaya is already hanging inside my wardrobe right now.

Part of the happy moment during my shopping was accidentally meeting my long lost friend. I think both of us still look the same as 10 years ago, LOL. And I LOVE HER JELABIYA, very beautiful and looks comfy.

Oh, we exchange phone numbers and promise to call each other after this.

Lastly, I'd like to share another shop for Muslimah.

But, we didn't enter Optimo because we are in a hurry to pray Maghrib.

BTW, while inside JW Collection, I did intent to snap some pics of their shelves of colourful, modern, traditional and fancy abayas but I totally forgot, but believe me, they have many designs.

Shopping Spree

Assalamualaikum everyone. It's that time of a day when your stomach starts growling for food and you wish you don't have to go out to buy something edible especially in this unpredictable weather. Anyway... I have to eat right, so... I think I just eat some crackers and a glass of water. That would be enough before dinner. Lunch time in Kota Bharu is always a busy time. That's why I don't like going out between 12 - 2pm for lunch.

Okay, let's see what shall I share here after so many days without updates. My busy schedules have taken so much of my free time and whenever I have it, I just want to take a nap. Anyway, yesterday, I spent part of my working hours shopping and an hour after work also for shopping. Don't blame me for having such a fun time doing that because I was doing it for everyone at the office. Eheh, actually my colleagues and I went to buy cloths for our uniform. Yes... we do wear uniform once a week, that is on Sunday.

The morning shopping with the 2 friends was at Kelantan Silk Store. This time we are looking for a greenish cloth after 2 years of wearing brownish and before that baby blue uniform. I just couldn't resist to snap a pic when I saw a big mirror, lol. Yesterday was black-grey theme...

After spending nearly half an hour at the store we stepped into the neighbouring store, Rorine Boutique because I want to register as their member and I purchased 2 things there.

My not so hungry stomach later was feed with this traditional snack called 'Jagung Rebus dengan Kelapa Manis' or Boiled Corn with Sweet Grated Coconut. A very simple dish for only RM1.00 - delicious and yummy.

Shopping is always fun and can definitely release some tension provided that you have the MONEY. I'm not saying I'm loaded but yesterday was my lucky day. Someone has paid back his loan from me and then I have a few hundreds to spare. Just a bit, hehe. I bought a pair of shoes and a tote bag from Rorine for only RM100.60 after 20% discount.

The shoes are so comfortable and the heels are only 1 1/2" high. The inside is so soft and make your feet feels like walking on a carpet. And I got this bag! Yeah... you can see me trying it out in the pic above. Suitable for formal dinners and a special nights out with beloved Hubby.

That's the end of my morning shopping.

After office hours I stopped by Billion Shopping Complex to visit KF Collection. Someone was asking me to buy an abaya so that's the place I went. She asked me to find an abaya with the length of 56" or above. Sadly all the abayas are either 52" or 53" except this 2 - one black one purple. Each is priced at RM99.00.

And... I bought a black shayla set complete with an under scarf, an awning like al-amira and also a pair of handsocks for RM40.00. I don't know when I'll wear it because it's rather short for my taste. I have other intention in mind for it, we'll see... Another purchase is 2 cool beige undercaps for RM10.00 to replace the 3 old ones.

After I finished my business at KF Collection, I went downstairs to have a look at the Polo-Sentini-Revival Handbags Sale. Price was cut down to 70% less and I end up buying 2 bags that would have cost me RM400 but I managed to get 1/4 of the price. One bag already sold to my sister and here's the one left for me from Sentini. It's quite big, very suitable for me and even my laptop can be fit in nicely. Hehe... 3 bags for one day... am I too much?

See... it's like a shopping spree. I usually bought things that could be sold again especially to my sisters. And I always love having 5 sisters in the family because when I bought things like shoes or bags, they definitely would be asking to buy them from me. It's like my investmen, LOL.

BTW, that was yesterday's story and now I'd like to share other things that I've bought a few months ago. On impulse, I bought this 2 beautiful shaylas at Pantai Timur Supermarket for RM8.00 each. It's rather fancy and I'm planning to wear it over my black hijab during Eid. Yes... still so far away.

I also accumulated 4 type of cloths to be made into maxis (here we called printed abayas as maxi) just like the one wore by Oki Setiana Dewi and also Mama's Collection. Just wait and see... insya-Allah I'll share the pic when the dress is made. Oh, the green one would be my new uniform.

That would be it. My shopping spree that made me a few hundreds poorer. As long as I can afford it and I try to be careful with my money management, then it would be okay. So far it's still good and manageable.
